Chartered in 1980, Soroptimist International of the Kachinas is a non-profit 501 (c)(3)* women’s service organization, which improves the lives of women and girls in our local community and throughout the world.

Our name, “Soroptimist”, loosely translated from Latin, means “best for women”. Soroptimist International of the Americas, (SIA) has over 25,000 members and supporters in countries across North America, Latin America, and the Pacific Rim and is 1 of 5 federations within Soroptimist International.

Soroptimist International, (SI) boasts more than 66,000 members and supporters across 120 countries and territories. Our focus is on making a difference in both local communities and on a global scale, and we couldn't do it without your support.

 Our Mission: Soroptimist improves the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment.

Program Meeting:

We convene on the second Tuesday of each month, September - June. If you are interested in attending one of our Program Meetings, please reach out to us. These meetings typically serve as informational sessions. We may review Soroptimist information, host speakers who address local issues or work on service projects.

Business Meetings:

We convene on the third Tuesday of each month, September - June. During these meetings, we examine and discuss club matters, including reports from the treasurer, committee suggestions, and upcoming federation and regional events. Typically, these business meetings are restricted to members only.
