Live Your Dream Awards
The Soroptimist Live Your Dream Awards emphasize education because it has the most significant impact on changing the lives of women and girls. Research indicates that a strong educational foundation offers the best opportunity for transformation and empowerment in their lives.
More than half of the recipients of our Live Your Dream Awards are individuals who have survived domestic violence, trafficking, or sexual assault. Soroptimist members worldwide have honored many brave women who have faced significant challenges to create a brighter future for themselves and their families. These women receive support through our Live Your Dream Awards. The cash awards given to Live Your Dream recipients can be used to help cover the costs of pursuing higher education, including expenses for books, childcare, tuition, and transportation.
The application portal is open from August 15th - November 15th each year.
Winning the Live Your Dream Award has been a life-changing experience that provided me with the financial stability I needed to fully focus on my studies. I was able to cover my bills not just for the month but also to stay a month ahead, which significantly reduced my stress throughout my academic journey. October 16, 2024, I had the incredible honor of walking across the stage at Grand Canyon University to receive my bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health—a milestone that wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the SI of the Kachinas and this award.
Winning the "Live Your Dream Award" came at a time when I needed extra help to pay for some expenses to help support my educational goals. I was able to focus on my classes and let go of the financial worry that comes with going to school. Due to this, I was able to achieve my goal of graduating with my Associate of Science degree from Pima Community College. Thank you, SI of the Kachinas, for helping to support my educational dreams.
As the holiday season approaches, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your incredible kindness and support. Your thoughtfulness has been a source of strength and comfort for me and my children during my journey as a student. Your generosity has made a significant difference in our lives, and we are truly grateful for the warmth and compassion you and the Soroptimist International of the Kachinas have shown.
